H.H. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated inaugurated the 9th annual WAN-Ifra Middle East Conference, under the slogan: The Future Starts Today. The conference is organized by World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers in collaboration with the conference strategic supporters: the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), Al Bayan newspaper, and Dubai Press Club. It will be held the 12-13 March in the Address Hotel, Dubai. The conference will center on appropriate plans and strategies for facing a future full of transformations, especially those transformations related to the media revolution. Now media is accessible through mobile phones, internet, and multimedia to the Middle East region, encouraging many media professionals to combine electronic devices and paper press. This constitutes a turning point in media, which was once limited to satellite channels, newspapers, and radio broadcasting.
