Under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, H.H Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Chairman of Dubai Executive Council honored the winning organizations and companies in the 6th edition of the Dubai Awards for Sustainable Transport (DAST) 2013. DAST was initiated and launched by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to motivate the public and private sectors to reduce traffic congestion and conserve the environment. His Highness and the attendees watched a film about the Dubai Awards for Sustainable Transport (DAST), which highlighted Dubai’s efforts to conserve the environment and natural resources. The film also featured Dubai’s endeavors to apply the principles of sustainable development. Sustainable development is considered vital in shaping humanity's future and welfare.
