H.H. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, attended the closing ceremony of Dubai International Holy Quran Award tonight, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The ceremony honored the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El Tayeb, Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar, for being named as the Islamic Personality of the 18th Session of the Award in appreciation of his religious and social contributions and the spread of shari’a knowledge. During the ceremony held at the Culture and Science Forum of Dubai, he honored the first ten winners of the Award in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Mokhtar Jumah, Egypt's Minister of Awqaf, local governmental department directors, public and private associations of the Award, and members of the consular corps of Dubai.
