Maitha bint Mohammed arrives in the Chinese capital
Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum arrived in the Chinese capital today from Korea after concluding her camp to participate in the opening ceremony of 29th Olympic Games Beijing 2008. Shiekha Maitha will represent the UAE in the Taekwondo in Olympiad games with opening ceremony set for next Friday. Sheikha Maitha was received by H.E. Mohammed Rashid Al Boot, The UAE Ambassador to China, H.E. Mohammed Saeed Mane’a Al Otaibah, Deputy Attaché and Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Olympics Attaché. Sheikha Maitha expressed her excitement for participating in the Olympics calling it a dream come true. She also, emphasized on importance of such participation being first women participation from UAE in the Olympics, which will be a good opening for women sports in the UAE.
