UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum declared the formation of UAE Gender Balance Council to be presided by President of Dubai Women Establishment and the the wife of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The formation of the Council represents a new major step to confirm UAE efforts to evolve the role of women as an essential partner in forming the future. This declaration was made during His Highness visit to the session entitled "Towards Balance between Genders in Governments" held today and presided by Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid as part of the second day of Government Summit in Dubai. His Highness was accompanied by Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid expressed her deep appreciation for the continuous support shown by His Highness UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai for women and his concern to open new horizons for them to positively and constructively participate in different development paths. She added that His Highness also offers the necessary support to empower women to release their creative potentials so that they can be a new source for UAE strength and dignity and the elevation and progress of its people
