Hamdan bin Rashid receives a delegation from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB)
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, received a delegation from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) today at Zabeel Palace. The delegation was headed by Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Hinai, the Vice President of Finance at the IDB. HH Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of the IDB as a strategic partner and main contributor to the Dubai, the Capital of Islamic Economy Initiative. He announced that the bank will issue Islamic Sukuk worth one billion US dollars, which will be listed in NASDAQ Dubai on Thursday. This announcement comes as a result of the collective efforts of the Ministry of Finance; the Supreme Committee of the Dubai, the Capital of Islamic Economy Initiative; NASDAQ Dubai, and IDB.
