Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum met Director-General of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Irina Bokova and her accompanying delegation this evening. The meeting was held in the presence of Minister of Education and Head of the Board of Trustees of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance His Highness Hameed Mohammed Al Katamy, and a number of officials. During the meeting, they reviewed the strategic initiatives of international organizations to support education in all communities. Ms. Bokova expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the government of the UAE and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid for the support they provide to UNESCO.
