H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, today honored 210 winners of the 16th cycle of the Hamdan bin Rashid Award for distinguished academic performance. The Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum honored 210 winners of the 16th round of the Hamdan bin Rashid Award for Distinguished Academic Performance today. Sheikh Hamdan announced that the award would evolve into a program for educational excellence, and directed the Board of Trustees to do the necessary in this regard. His Highness also hoped that such a qualitative shift would promote the scientific and literary value for top achievers and open the door for knowledge investment. During the award ceremony, Sheikh Hamdan expressed his heartfelt congratulations to winners, and wished them more success and progress. He also extended his thanks to the UNESCO, the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS), Ministries of Education, supporting agencies, and media organizations. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al Maktoum Charity Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Economic Council Juma Al Majed, along with a host of top educators, VIP guests, and dignitaries.
