Hamdan bin Rashid chairs the first meeting of the Board of Directors of Federal Tax Authority

Deputy Ruler of Dubai and the Minister of Finance His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum chaired today the first meeting of the Board of Directors of Federal Tax Authority held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance in Dubai.
Duruing the meeting, Minister of State for Financial Affairs His Excellence Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, was elected to be the Deputy Chairman. The value-added tax (VAT) will be imposed on supplying all goods and services unless a zero value or exemption is stated.
It was also announced that VAT will be applied in the country starting on January 1, 2018.
