Hamdan bin Rashid attends the opening of the "Pearls of Pearl" exhibition in Al Fahidi
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, sponsor of the Al Ghaffal sailing race for sailing vessels, today opened the "Pearl Occasions" exhibition at "Dar Al Nadwa - House 20" in Al Fahidi neighborhood in Dubai.
The exhibition, which runs until April 27, tells a unique story that sails deep into the local heritage.
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (DCCI) has supported the exhibition as a strategic partner, in recognition of the great value of its treasures and the documented information that contributes to enhancing the awareness of the new generation of heritage pearls and their aim to promote and sustain the culture of diving and pearl trade for future generations.
The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to document the heritage of pearl diving by identifying a rare collection of natural pearl wonders from around the world.
