The Crown Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum launched "The Benefit of Reading” initiative after the end of the graduation ceremony of 24th batch of Dubai Police Academy officers. This initiative coincides with the announcement of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan that year 2017 will be the "Year of Giving" in the UAE.

The initiative targets the high school and university students, the governmental and private sector employees, the academic staff, the experts and researchers inside and outside UAE.
