The Government of Dubai organized the first awards ceremony for Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart Government Programme (HBMSGP), under the patronage and in the presence of the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Launched last June, the initiative comes in line with the wise leadership’s vision to adopt a smart model in government operational systems. The smart model will transform this ambitious vision into reality through a methodological approach. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed launched the Number One Agenda to improve 50 services offered by Dubai government in the upcoming year. He elaborated upon the rationale for the Initiative’s speedy launch: “We in Dubai Government know that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed likes to move fast, so we had to speed up the process and launch Agenda 1 now.” During the ceremony -which saw the attendance of Dubai Government directors, along with senior officials, improvement leaders, and teams from the emirate’s various government entities- names for government entities that qualified for the main category of local “Best Smart-Phone Government Service” were announced.
