Hamdan bin Mohammed crowns winner of Global Teacher Prize

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, crowned today Peter Tabichi, a Math and Physics teacher from Kenya, with the award of the best teacher in the world.
Tabichi, won the prize money award of of $1 million in a ceremony that took place on Sunday at Atlantis, The Palm.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in the presence of Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills, Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, Minister of State for Advanced Sciences, and a number of Arab and foreign officials along with education dignitaries.
