Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, attended the Supreme Committee meeting for Dubai’s transition into a smart city. He affirmed the need to integrate Dubai’s governmental departments: “As all of us work under the same name, all the services shall be presented via one portal. Each department in Dubai represents Dubai as a whole, and our smart applications should reflect a unified interface for the Emirate. During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan stated that he would announce the name of the smartest department in Dubai at the end of the year. The procedures for implementing the Dubai Smart City strategy and reviewing work team plans, in collaboration with various government entities and bodies, were also discussed during the meeting.
