Hamdan bin Mohammed announces 2021 to be the last year of government paper transactions and authorize “Smart Dubai” to supervise the execution
Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced that the Emirate will celebrate the end of Paper Transactions for Dubai Government by issuing its last paper transaction in 2021. This is in line with the vision of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aiming at the transformation of Dubai Government into the Smart Form. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan authorized “Smart Dubai” to supervise the achievement of this objective within the indicated timeframe.
During the “Future Now” ceremony held by “Smart Dubai” in order to celebrate three years of achievements, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan launched, in the presence of a number of heads of government departments, the “Smart Dubai 2021” Plan qualifying for the next phase of smart and sustainable life for people in Dubai.
