Hamdan bin Mohamed Heads the First Meeting of the Higher Commission of the Dubai Smart City Project

​His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and the General Supervisor of the Dubai Smart City Project, headed the first meeting of the project’s Higher Commission. Sheikh Hamdan affirmed that the Dubai Smart City project is implemented in accordance with three main parallel axes. The first axis is related to “Smart Life,” and focuses on health and educational services, in addition to transportation, communications, public facilities, energy services, and all types of events. The second axis is related to “Smart Economy,” which focuses on the development of the smart companies, ports and airports services, smart stock markets and jobs, and so on. The third axis is related to “Smart Tourism,” which is all about the provision of a comfortable and smart environment for the guests of the Emirate, such as visa issuing, airline services, smart portals, smart hotels, and dining services. HH Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the three axes are to advance Dubai into a new stage of development; ensuring before the members of the Higher Commission that there is a “new history being written for Dubai with the signature of Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.”
